Prof. Ting Yang, Tianjin University, China

Prof. Ting Yang, doctoral supervisor, is a discipline leader in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University. He is the deputy director of the national "distributed energy and micro grid" international science and technology cooperation base and the deputy director of Tianjin "Energy Internet” International Joint Research Center. As the largest contributor, he has won two provincial and departmental science and technology progress awards and some enterprise science and technology progress awards. He has published more than 100 SCI/EI papers, 4 monographs and 2 international invention patents in top academic journals in China and abroad. He has served as the session chair of several IEEE international conferences. He also served as the editor in chief or member of the Editorial Committee of several SCI journals. He is the special editor in chief of "Application of artificial intelligence in power system and energy Internet"(which won him the "Outstanding Special Editor Award" in 2018) of “Journal of Power System Automation”, and the special editor in chief of "Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things (UPIOT)" of “Journal of Power Construction”. He is now the deputy director of circuit and system branch of China Electronics Society, the national director of sensor sub committee of China Instrumentation Society and a member of the theoretical electrician special committee of China Electrical Engineering Society.

Prof. Mohan Lal Kolhe, University of Agder (Norway), Norway

Professor (Dr) Mohan Kolhe is with the University of Agder (Norway) as full professor in electrical power engineering with focus on smart grid and renewable energy' in the Faculty of Engineering and Science. He has also received the offer of full professorship in smart grid from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has more than three decades' academic experience at the international level on electrical and renewable energy systems. He is a leading renewable energy technologist and has previously held academic positions at the world's prestigious universities e.g. University College London (UK / Australia), University of Dundee (UK); University of Jyvaskyla (Finland); Hydrogen Research Institute, QC (Canada); etc.

He was also a member of the Government of South Australia's Renewable Energy Board (2009-2011) and worked on developing renewable energy policies. He was also leading the EU FP7 Smart Grid-ICT project' Scalable Energy Management Infrastructure for Household' as Technical Manager.

His academic work ranges from the smart grid, grid integration of renewable energy systems, home energy management system, integrated renewable energy systems for hydrogen production, techno-economics of energy systems, solar and wind energy engineering, development of business models for distributed generation etc. He also did extensive teaching in renewable and electrical energy systems engineering as well as in energy economics. He has been successful in winning competitive research funding from the prestigious research councils (e.g. EU, EPSRC, BBSRC, NRP, etc.) for his work on sustainable energy systems. He has published extensively in the energy systems engineering. He has been invited by many international organizations for delivering expert lectures / courses / key note addresses / workshops. He has also been member of many academic promotional committees.

Prof. Pierluigi Siano, University of Salerno, Italy

Pierluigi Siano (M'09–SM'14) received the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information and electrical engineering from the University of Salerno, Salerno, Italy, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He is a Professor and Scientific Director of the Smart Grids and Smart Cities Laboratory with the Department of Management & Innovation Systems, University of Salerno. Since 2021 he has been a Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Science, University of Johannesburg. His research activities are centered on demand response, energy management, the integration of distributed energy resources in smart grids, electricity markets, and planning and management of power systems. In these research fields, he has co-authored more than 680 articles including more than 410 international journals that received in Scopus more than 14700 citations with an H-index equal to 59. In 2019, 2020, and 2021 he has been awarded as a Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering by Web of Science Group.He has been the Chair of the IES TC on Smart Grids. He is Editor for the Power & Energy Society Section of IEEE Access, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON POWER SYSTEMS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL INFORMATICS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS, IEEE SYSTEMS.
